My Story

Originally from Liverpool, England, Daniel Carroll grew up immersed in the world of soccer. From humble beginnings on a council estate, his life took a transformative turn when he was recruited to play for Manchester United’s Youth Academy at the age of seven. Coached by some of Europe’s finest and playing alongside future Premier League stars, Daniel honed his skills and built the foundation of his soccer career.

His journey brought him to the United States, where he earned a full scholarship to play soccer at the University of Rio Grande. During his collegiate career, Daniel achieved remarkable success, including winning a National Championship (NAIA) and being awarded Defensive Player of the Tournament in 2015. After graduating, he transitioned into coaching, bringing the same passion and discipline he exhibited as a player to mentoring and developing others. With professional experience at institutions like William Carey University and Washington Adventist University, Daniel’s expertise is rooted in both playing and coaching at the highest levels.

Daniel’s approach to soccer transcends the technical and physical aspects of the game. Inspired by his love for philosophy, he emphasizes the importance of asking the right questions and fostering self-reflection to unlock players' potential. Through PhiloSoccer Training, Daniel continues to give back to the game that shaped his life, helping players rise above challenges and discover their purpose on and off the pitch.
